File existance check

jacobsenmjacobsenm
How can I check the filesize on a remote machine.

I tried and it does not work. I tried to simply find a file on a D:file.txt and it fails to work.

The Servercheck service is logged in as an administrator.

Is the filelist.txt in the agents folder required ?

I am using ServersCheck 7.8.6'

Thanks

What error message do you get and what path to the file did you define?

The filelist.txt file allows you to monitor multiple files from one single monitor rather than having to define one monitor per file.

As mentioned already several times in previous posts, it is not possible for us to support older versions as issues might have been resolved since then. We only provide active support for the most recent release.

Ok Now I understand the function of a filelist.txt

    The error is:

    Status : DOWN?

    File Not Found

When I do a filesize check on the ServerCheck machine (localhost), than it works. If I want to check a remote machine, than it fails (File Not Found).

Is there anything special required ?

Thanks again for the quick response.

As asked previously, what path to the file did you define?

    d:test.txt

You need to define the full path to the file through a share.

    IPSharenametest.txt

Mapped drives will not work as the monitoring software runs as a service
