Problems with proxy

Because we are getting a new firewall, the authentication-method changes from BASIC only to NTLM and BASIC. We are using NTLMv2.
When I change the proxy-settings of a monitor to the new firewall and test it, I get the message:
Error returned: The login request was denied
What does this mean? Is there any possibility to see exactly, what serverscheck tries to do and what the server answers?
If I use the IE with the same proxy and the same credentials, everything works well.
I have even downloaded the trialversion of 7.11.0, but got the same errormessage.
It would be great if someone can help me.

NTML is integrated with Windows and as ServersCheck runs as a service and not a user, NTML is not possible.
