alert_servicereboot.exe problem

himserverscheckhimserverscheck
Hi,

I'm using serverscheck business 50 release 7.10.0 on a Windows XP Pro sp2 system. I can monitor a remote server connected through a VPN connection without problem (WINDOWSHEALTH works great). My problem is I can't start a remote service on this server. I've tried to create manually a ssr.conf file to test alert_servicereboot.exe but I always get the same error in the logfile :

14.03.2008 11:34:41: ERROR: Could not connect to WEB2 using username: "WEB2ServersCheck". Error message: ERROR: 1204 - Le nom de logiciel réseau spécifié n'est pas valide.

I get the same error if I specify the IP address of the remote host. The WEB2ServersCheck account has sufficient privileges on the remote host.

Do you have any idea to help me solve my problem?

Restarting is a different set of rights. It could be that the /ServersCheck is not accepted as it says that the network name is not valid.

Try using the local Administrator account if you have.

THanks for your answer. As you can imagine, I already checked this way. Using the Administrator username and password doesn't work either.

I have the same problem/error with the EVENTLOG monitor.

Eventlog and the service reboot make a connection that is not WMI based but to the IPC share on the C drive.
