Email alerts showing /n

BestWestBestWest
Hello

We have version 7.5.3 Starter Edition.

When we have gone to either create individual Alert messages or to edit the Outgoing SMTP Service Message, the information looks OK.

However, when the email reaches the Monitoring account, all returns have been replaced with /n resulting into a garbled message.

Any ideas?

This has been fixed in later versions (see release notes).

Upgrade to 7.8.6 (if you have a support agreement)

    Hello again

I have upgraded to version 7.8.6, however I still get the /n instead of a Carriage return.

    Have I missed something?

Plus run the s-alerts in debug mode, simulate an error and reply with the output

What is the first line of your serverscheck.conf file

When you start the s-alerts.exe from the command prompt, then what version number does it show you?
  • BestWestBestWest
    It shows version 7.5.1
  • AdministratorAdministrator
OK it seems that the alerting component was not updated with your upgrade.

    You can download it here:
