Auto ackowledgement when OK?

We just had a link go down for a couple of minutes which fired off an email to say it's down then when it came back up we received an email to say it's OK as per normal. However, the escalation still fired off an sms after the 10 minutes we've configured to wait to say the link was down, when it wasn't - it had been back up for a good 5 minutes. Had we been offsite we'd be trying to get to a PC to fix a problem which didn't exist.



Do we have to manually ackowledge the down to stop the escalation or should it have reset when it came back to OK?



If we need to manually reset the escalation could you please consider having it cancelled if it goes back to OK before the escalation time has elapsed?
