Windows device scan

Is there a way to edit a devices login information for the windows device scan. The only way I can get existing devices to scan and return the services for a windows device is to delete the device and re-add it entering the correct login account. Is there not a way to edit that once its been entered? I set the windows account at the global level but its not working. Any ideas?

Set you serverscheck services to run under the correct login account. In 7.6.x it appears that if you have the services set to a privileged login account and user credentials to "local host" the check will still process under the login account for the servercheck services. The way i have my server setup is to have the serverscheck services running under a privileged user account and the same windows account entered in serverscheck under user credentials.

I don't know if it’s actually supposed to work that way but it does and it gets around deleting and adding the rule back in.

This could work better (I'm using 7.7.0 here).

If you enter a user/pass when adding a device, then this info is stored in plain text in the serverscheck.conf file. However, this means that the "SCAN DEVICE" button works and produces a list of services.

If you leave the user/pass blank then, as mentioned above, you don't get the Windows Check or Services list in the scan, but you CAN manually add Windows Check or a Service with one of your previously configured accounts.
