Windows process check for dns.exe

Windows process check for dns.exe has started failing after I upgraded to version 6.10.1 from version 6.10.0



We have about 6 of these checks running, and they were all fine before the upgrade. Now they are reporting:

Satus: DOWN?

Error returned: dns.exe is not running



They are running fine and the Serverscheck server has proper access to these servers. (Nothing else changed other tahn upgrading Serverscheck).



I also tried creating a new rule from scratch and still have the same issue.



I have also noticed that my alert checking services has also failed.

    Have you updated the settings for the 2 services so that it runs as under a domain admin account?

    Yes, the rule checking the services and processes are using a domain account that has admin rights to those servers.



    Serverschecks config and monitor services are also running under a domain admin account.

    Nothing has changed on the process_check.exe between release 6.10.0 and 6.10.1



    Maybe a version conflict somewhere. Perform a manual upgrade as per knowledge base:
