SMTP 40 character limit

in Monitoring Software v12 and lower
After moving from on prem to O365, ".mail.protection.outlook.com" uses 28 of the 40 character limit for this, so we are over the character Limit. Does anyone know how we should proceed, will we need to create a seperate DNS record or proxy? What would this look like.image

FYI currently on firmware 8.6, after speaking with the team yesterday, this limit has not been increased in the latest versions.

    this is for the SMTP server for Email alerts, within the monitoring software
