Invalid license, Does no longer match the currently system ID ;(the software may no longer be used)

Anyone here who had an experience of the error mentioned above? Monitoring software is Ver. 16.0, installed in a Virtual Machine using VMWARE.

The message just appeared and it says the software can no longer be used.

if your system settings changed (like porting to a VMWare instance), then you need to generate a new license. A license can be generated from your myServersCheck account. A license key is required per installation of the software.

Does this mean We need to buy additional license? or we can just generate a new license from the portal to be used? Thanks

Per installation of the software a license is required. The software may be installed on a system once. So if you moved the software to another system, then this counts as 2 installations

A license can be moved from a system to another provided you have a support contract which enables you to generate a new license
