Smoke and Door contact showing Down status

We have installed a monitoring appliance that was supplied to us under RMA recently. All is fine except for two door contacts and a smoke detector whose status is indicated as 'down'. What could be the cause and the work-around to get them to working state?

    Hello Mnyalu, what SGW firmware version are you using?
    I think you set your Sensor to "OPEN" for Down Range, that's why it always shows Trig Status.
    You may check it on your SGW GUI page on Sensor Status and set it to "CLOSE"
    For Firmware version 8.1, you have to click "Edit" button and select Sensor Triggered (CLOSE contact)
    and then click "Update" button to apply the changes.
