Cannot configure email alert

Hi,
What is the proper on configuring the outgoing email setting.
I always get error: "Checking Authentication: FAILED"
I created new gmail account and use this as my SMTP server. It works with our system.
Tried witching between port 465/587 and SSL settings.

I think the current firmware V8 Doesn't support Gmail yet, as I currently use their free email service for alerts.
If you wanted to use Gmail, you can download their beta firmware which I saw on a post here on this link
