Email alert problem
Hi. I have a new gateway (hardware v5.1, firmware 7.41)
I cannot get the email alerts to work using my gmail account
The device is connected fine (ping and time servers work)
The alerts can be sent using the no-authentication gmail server (aspmx.l.google.com) but I am only able to send alerts to other gmail addresses using that
I realise there may be a mail-forwarding workaround but I would like to send from my gmail using TLS/SSL
I have used the settings in the manual with no luck (i.e. port 465 etc..) - the error in every case is that the test email is unable to be sent

I think no update has yet been announced for TLS/SSL support for gmail users, The most recent update I think I saw before was with this discussion thread, So i think it is still under development. https://community.serverscheck.com/discussion/comment/7483/#Comment_7483.
You can use the free email server ServersCheck provides via https://my.serverscheck.com/ , use an SSL tunnel (it is on the user manual) or continue using the aspmx.l.google.com until the update is released.
