Rule being performed but it should not

Hi;



We are running Enterprise MX1 5.8.4 version.



I am having a problem with a set of rules that states:



Rule nbr 1: (Ping type)

Rule nbr 2: (Ping type) - should be performed Only when following rule nbr 1 OK

Rule nbr 3: (Services type) - should be performed Only when following rule nbr 2 OK



Rule nbr 1 is checking if a router is UP. Rule nbr 2 is checking if a server behind the router is UP. Rule nbr 3 is checking if a service on this server is running.



When the electrical power goes down, the router goes down and Rule nbr 1 goes down with the following status: "TTL expired in transit". Then, rule nbr 2 HALTs (status down), but rule nbr 3 still performs.



Well, I want rule nbr 3 not to be performed in that occasion.

    Make number 3 depend on number 1

    OK.



    Well, I don't want rule nbr 3 to be performed either when the server is down. Do I have to create a 4th rule to accomplish that?
