Config Sever

Currently I assume this has to be run as an 'applicaion' on the desk top. Is there an option to run this as a service, or has anyone tried installing this as a service ?

The configuration server has to run as an application and can not be configured as a service

This is causing a problem as I am running on Windows 2003 Server, and I manage the server with Terminal Services. Because of lost/disconnected sessions, any 'old' terminal session is closed, which closes the configuration server. Any reason why I can't install it as a service (With srvany.exe, although not tried this on Win2003) ?

You can try it with svrany but it has not been tested before and is not supported.

No success with srvany, the service start, but then exits.

However, I have just found the html files in outputhtml. All I really want to do is to make the stats available without any config capability, so I assume if I serve these with IIS I get my solution without he need for the configuration server to run.

Yes absolutely correct. Please note that doing so requires you to purchase the PRO edition as the freeware version is only for non commercial purposes.

No problem, we purchased our first copy yesterday.

Try to create a task and run it on Server start. This works fine for me (w2k server sp4)
If the process will be terminated by any error, you can quick login via RDP and rerun the task.
