MSN alert problem.

[Deleted User][Deleted User]
Hello

I setup special MSN account for serverscheck.

On the same PC i installed MSN Messenger 6.2,test the acount and put to allow list on serverscheck MSN.

In log files i can see that alert was send it but i do not recive it. I tried at command prompt: alert_msn with all needed parameters and i recive: Error Timeout occured. Message was not sent.

Anyone knows what could be the problem.

I have latest 5.8.2 Enterprise release.

    Dear Sir,

Is MSN running on the computer which has ServersCheck installed?

If so then stop MSN and try again.

Could you run it with the /DEBUG parameter?

    So as follows:

    alert_msn <senderaccount> <senderpassword> <recipientaccount> <message> /DEBUG

and reply with the output it generated?

It seems like your firewall is blocking the MSN component (you might want to verify your firewall logs for blocked requests). I will check with our development which port is being used by the MSN component.

MSN Messanger or Windows Messanger are working normaly.

Please let me know if you are using any other port.

The port for MSN is 1863. Make sure that a direction is available and not via a proxy client or similar.
