false alarm
Windows 2000 Server SP4
serverschek trail 5.5.1
Hi,
the problem i have got is that sometimes false alarms occurs. Noticeble is the time between the down and the uptime, it is short.
these are my settings:
Monitor Rule - web HTTPSTATUS
Retries before rule fails? 3
Minimal interval between 2 checks 180 seconds
Interval when status is down 180 seconds
Check Specific Settings:
HTTP Status Code 200
Alert when: on each status change
status of web HTTPSTATUS (Admis) changed to DOWN at Thu Oct 28 12:11:53 2004. Reason: 404 was the status code returned; expected code: 200
status of web HTTPSTATUS (Admis) changed to OK at Thu Oct 28 12:14:48 2004. Reason: 404 was the status code returned; expected code: 200
Any ideas?

We have seen cases with other customers where it was thought that ServersCheck would incorrectly function and read the data. With a special debug version of ServersCheck (that stored all data returned) it seemed that the content management system generating the web site content did not behave correctly.
The time between the down to up is 3 minutes as you could expect it (since you defined it like that).
