Flood Sensor Value Error

I have V.2 device running firmware 1.3 with a flood sensor. This device has been running for about 2 years with out issue. Now the flood sensor value is WET but there is no water on our data center floor. I have tried to reset the device and re-install the firmware, but nothing has worked. Has anyone run into this issue with the flood sensor or have any ideas how to correct this issue.

Your sensor may be broken - corrosion or similar. The way the sensor works is being creating a small electrical field. As you know water is conductive and this allows us to detect water.



If the condition is WET then something is creating that electrical field: dust or corrosion could be the case.



We do offer out of warranty repairs for a fee. We inspect the device and then make you a repair quote. If you agree with the repair fee (if repairable) or purchase a new unit, then the paid inspection fee will be deducted from your quote.
