ServersCheck SensorGateway polled SNMP
Support,
We have several of these ServersCheck devices and wanted to run a problem by you.
Current System Date : 22/05/2013
Current System Time : 11:07:48
Hardware Version : Release 4.0
Firmware Version : Release 2.11
Build Date : Oct 11 2012 18:16:14
Interface Type : RS232
Product Name : Temperature & SensorGateway
Product ID : SC-TS01
Has there been any new firmware released for this hardware version?
Any reported problems with SNMP polling similar to the scenario described below?
Problem scenario:
We have the device set up to do SNMP trap events on the temperature and the water sensors.
We also do SNMP polling of the temp and water sensors SNMP variables.
On occasion, the SNMP polling stops returning “OK” for the sensor3value for water sensor B.
Our monitoring looks for the sensor3value being “OK” otherwise notifying our on-call cell.
We have been having scenarios where the value returned is blank vs. “OK”.
If there was a real water sense condition, I would have expected some verbage vs. blank but then there is no water sense condition anyway and the enabled SNMP trap event for a water sense condition does not occur (as expected).
We are still able to get the temp and Water Sensor A SNMP variables values, and the Water Sensor A gets “OK” but Water Sensor B gets “” (nothing).
Rebooting seems to resolve the problem, but this scenario comes back and occurs again after a few days/weeks.
