Unable to send gsmsms text

Ungraded to latest version 10.1.0. GSM modem needs to send out message. Checked com port on server and ok. can query modem and all is good. try to run test through alerting and says it works but no sms alert to my cell?



checked modem.log and references saying: sms sending failed.

    What kind of modem are you using? Can you try using a different sim card and see if it makes a difference?

    We purchased a zoom 4595 from you. When i turn off the serverscheck service. start the zoom gui I can send a test message to my cell using the zoom interface. nothing wrong with sim chip or zoom gsm modem.

    is the zoom app running or not when the serverscheck service is running?



    if not, then run the web server in debug mode and send a test sms. Copy paste the debug output as a reply

    Zoom app is not running. Only use that to tell me if the zoom modem is working with windows server.

    The modem replied that it could send the SMS. You didn't receive it? Try putting your phone number in the international format: +1925437xxxx

    No, the only I get are thru the zoom application doing it manually. once i enable the serverscheck service, then using the gsmmodem tester thru serverscheck, it says it sent out but nothing is recieved? I have tried my cell as well as one of my co-workers just to ensure that it is not my carrier.



    what to try? could it be a conf file somewhere that is wrong?

    The gsmmodem tester app has been discontinued and is no longer supported.

    So, have you already tried putting your number in the international format? Did it make any difference at all?

    Yes, I tried the intl format which is a + in front and still it says the gsm text was sent out. I just attached the screen shot to word doc. Sent it to you in email attachment.

    So why can't the Sms gsm modem messages be sent thru serverscheck. it was working in previous version.

    if it was working in 10.0 then it should work in 10.1



    nothing changed in that component between version 10.0 and 10.1



    if you install it on another system and try it, does it work then?

    No, previously we were using 9.7 then went to 10.1.0

    Now GSM - SMS messaging no longer works?



    Could it be that your new portal is conflicting with my gsm modem sending out sms messages?



    I did purchase (3) new temp sensor gateways and was attempting to configure them. I did not understand how to connect them to gsm modem to send out gsm text messages. I think I accidently enabled the sms messages that cost money. But I do not want that service. I already can send out gsm using my modem. Could that be the cause? How to correct?

    Run the alerting module in debug mode and simulate a failure that should result in a SMS being sent.

    does serverscheck monitoring service need to be off. just double click the s-alerts.exe? how to redirect to txt?

    Yes, the monitoring service should be turned off.

    On the command prompt, redirect to ServersCheck directory then type s-alerts.exe > debug.txt

    Ok, I got a sms alert after unplugging the power for one of the power sensors. now I am attempting to configure one the new orange temp & gateway for our remote offices. when i click on the enable sms alerts, it attempts to get me to go to some portal where they charge for sms alerts. how do I configure these temp sensors to use my gsm sms alerts to notify if there are issues? do I turn off the sms on the new temp gw? how do I get it to send to my gsm modem instead?

    On the sensorgateways SMS can only be sent through our SMS service, not a GSM modem
