SNMP monitor network traffic

Hi,

i want monitoring the inbound and outbound bandwith of Paketshaper 2500 on his outside network card to be informed whenthe traffic is under a specified value. The OID is 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2 for InOctects and 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2 for OutOctecs.

The problem is that the values of this OID is absolute (incremental) while I have need to rate per second value.

Is possible with serverscheck transform an absolute value into a per second value like Whatsup Gold of Ipswitch?

    what is the formula for this OID to obtain the rate per second? is it just the difference between two OID requests and divide the difference by the time in seconds between the two requests?

    Yes, I suppose that the value is the result of that formula.
