how fast can I do ping-checks?

By default the timing between ping-checks seems to be 60 seconds.

I tried modifying the rules, but can't get faster than a ping check every 5 seconds.
Is there a way to do checks every 1 second or 2 seconds?

    I have to correct myself - I can't get it faster than 8 seconds between ping checks - even with the time between checks configured to 0 seconds.

    Any hint on how to get this faster?

    It really depends on the ServersCheck version you are running and time/number of checks.



    If you need multi-threading then you need to look at the MX2, MX4 or MX8 edition.

    Can you elaborate on that?

    I am trying to monitor 3 network devices that possibly have network level dropout of 1-2 seconds.

    In the standard edition I can setup 3 monitoring rules that monitor the devices fine, it looks like 1 rule is processed per second - and then servercheck pauses for 7 seconds before it resumes scanning (see log excerpt below)

    I'd be perfectly happy with the performance if I could eliminate the 7 second wait.
    I am running on a 3Ghz hyperthreading machine, there should be enough cpu cycles to do this faster.
    Which version of ServersCheck do I need for that?
