Sensor Gateway Internal Temperature

I just want to ask regarding Internal Temperature in Sensor Gateway and the external sensor. I'm little bit confuse why they give different value. I place the sensor gateway and the external sensor in same place to test the accuracy of both sensors but they gave different value. The sensor gateway returned value was 23 while the external sensor is 27. Please advise.

That is normal. The internal temp sensor of the sensor gateway is for reference only. For accurate temperature measurement you need an external one and that is why we always ship a temperature sensor with an external probe.
