100% CPU with version 8x

hmcollegehmcollege
Hello,

i'm getting 100% CPU utilization when using not even 70 checks...

Now i realize this is a slower CPU and all but i guess you guys tested this unit while using the full 100 checks.

My health check on the local machine now always fails while raising the CPU check to 99%, as a result that when using the monitor system as a 'ok' dependency for other checks, these checks are halted..

i've also tried the 'experimental thread2' because i'm very desperate in solving this issue, but without luck.

please advise.

Lennart

What is the CPU usage of each process?

I assume you are not running a browser on the appliance as per manual instructions.

To reassure you, it has been tested with more than 100 monitors (all WMI ones - most CPU consuming) with a CPU usage between 40-70%

Kindly note that as stated in the release notes, we recommend current users to wait until the first maintenance is made available before upgrading a production environment.

Are you using 8.0 or the release candidate (beta)?

We have just received a new appliance with version 8.0.4 and it is consuming most of the CPU all of the time and reporting that the unit is down. What can be done to fix this issue?

Is the browser running on the appliance? Have you installed any software on it?

FYI: The appliance runs an ultra low voltage processor at 500 Mhz designed. The unit is not down; otherwise it wouldn't be reporting to you. It exceeds default tresholds.

The browser is not running and no software has been installed. I realize that the processor is ULV but it is running at close to 100% all the time.

I applied the latest software update and the processor now averages around 50 percent. Am at version 8.0.6.

50 percent is more than normal. This is an ultra low voltage processor at 500Mhz
