SMTP>POP3 setup

stemoneystemoney
Hi,

I'm setting up a SMTP>POP3 check. I use our Domino server to send mail to my Gmail account which it does, but the POP3 check fails. Same if i use a windows live account.

I'm guessing it could be because there is no way in serverscheck to enable SSL ? or does it do it behind the scenes by default?

I dont know of any webmail that does not use ssl so this is a bit of a problem to test mail is routing out fine.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Stephen

For this checktype to work you need to use a standard POP3 account running on port 110

So servercheck does not support ssl or port changing?

Which rules out any webmail form google / microsoft / or anyone i can think off.

Are there any companies that offer pop3 without ssl on port 110?

    Is there a work around?

    Cheers,

Almost any ISP offers free email accounts with POP3 on port 110.
