New ping monitor fails

7.10.3. If i create a new ping monitoring rule i receive a status down. The monitor rules fails with any ip address specified. I can ping the ip addresses from the server's desktop.

    If you have a support agreement, then upgrade to the latest release.



    Stop all monitors except that one and run the monitoring service in debug mode. Reply with the output

    this is what i get for an error after the 7.12.2 upgrade.

    Status: DOWN?

    Error returned: Error level: 0 (returned value) less than 4000

    Value returned: 0

    Shouldn't your alert level be greater than instead of less than?



    If a system replies in 0ms then that is fine. Your alert level sets the monitor to DOWN unless a PING takes more than 4 seconds...
