Scheduled reporting display bug

The scheduled reports delivered by email have code errors causing them to fail to display icons. See below for an example. This bug exists in 10.2.0, not sure if the earlier versions have this as well.

It seems like you modified the logo url.

The URL of the logo can be modified by going to

Reporting > Status Reporting > Report Template Customization

No you misunderstood. We didn't change the logo url. It actually is in the option you mentioned.

To give another example of the html error

Notice the http prefix somehow is missing the "h". That's why the images fail to load. This only occurs in the email reports.

Ran multiple tests on multiple platforms and all emails were generated correctly.

Can you please post raw source of entire email, including headers?

Sure. References to actual monitor groups are replaced/removed. Serverscheck 10.2.0 runs on a Windows XP VMware virtual machine and the email is opened by Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit.

That's not the raw email message with headers.

Instead it seems to be a MS Word document (MS WORD 14)

where the html was converted into.

That MS Word conversion is probably stripping the 'h' in the html code

Can you have it sent to a Gmail account and see if it is received correctly there?

I posted the source code of the original HTML email viewed in Outlook 2010. We didn't do any manual conversion aside from opening the email. The MS Word reference you see is probably a result of Outlook interpreting HTML. However this problem is not specific to Outlook.

I followed your suggestion and tested my gmail account. The result is the same. None of the images in the report including the logo and the status signs (tick and cross) in front of the group name are not displayed. If you want I can post a link to the screenshot later when I get home.

The source code isn't what we needed on that email. We also need the raw email headers

We have tested it against Outlook 2011 for Mac and Outlook 2010 for PC and Gmail.

All were received fine.

If your Gmail isn't received correctly either then something must be doing a conversion and as such it might be your mail server and not mail client.
